FIGHT TO SAVE 40 HORSES

THE adopted daughter of Sir Paul McCartney has stepped in to try to save a horse sanctuary from closure.

Heather, 47, spent the summer working at The Horse Refuge in Tenterden, Kent, and fell in love with the 40 animals.
The farm is due to go on the market next month after the owner decided to sell instead of rent to sanctuary boss Sara Ross.
Heather, who is the daughter of Sir Paul’s first wife Linda, lives with the ex-Beatle in nearby Peasmarsh, East Sussex.
“As a child I was always happiest when I was on a horse,” she said.
“Sara takes in horses that have been ill-treated. To lose them would be devastating.”
