Stella McCartney's opening night chic

London designer Stella McCartney has taken her Brit style to Italy as she opens a new boutique in Milan.

It was a festival atmosphere in Milan last night as Stella McCartney opened her brand new flagship store on Via Santo Spirito.

Stella McCartney's been one busy lady of late. Aside from working with Gap on their cute-as-could-be kid's range, her continuing collaboration with sportswear brand Adidas has produced yet another must-have collection for stylish fitness enthusiasts.

But last night it was all about her glamorous mainline collection as she launched her new boutique in the heart of Milan. The little Italian street was draped in the Italian Tricolore and British Union Jack flags as the crowds came to a standstill milling outside the shop.

Stella was stunning in a purple, drop-waist tunic-style dress which she teamed with black heels and tights and a bronze clutch bag.

So what's next on Ms McCartney's to do list? She's currently working on an Alice in Wonderland-inspired jewellery collection with Disney. We can't wait!
